I would think the only way this could be conceived to be accomplished would be thourgh the application (perl or not) having access to the Master Boot Record (MBR). I don't know the first thing about the MBR except what its for. In theory the application would need to rearrage it (logically or virtually) telling the computer which one should boot default.
Good luck, please share what you come up with, Jason -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 8:52 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Remote Restart Any thoughts on how to write a perl script to reboot a remote computer with multiple Operating systems (Windows/Linux/Unix) installed to a particular Operating System ?
