I know it a javascript, but one thing that I do not understand why when I click the link, my main window it displays "[object]". I wrote the javascript to open a new window with perl.
but when I put the same link under direct HTML file, it works fine without displaying "[object]"
That can't be. The browser doesn't magically know whether the HTML it's seeing came from a Perl program or from a static file. All it sees is HTML.
Furthermore, you've obviously typed this code into the message, and you've made several mistakes. Please paste in the real code.
