Continuing on my investigation of NaN handling,
I installed bignum with ppm3 and then tried
this trivial snippet to see if bignum had been
installed correctly.

Do I need to move up to 5.8 ?

code
-----------------------------------------
use strict;
use bignum;

$a = 1.3;
$b = NaN;
printf "%.2f %.2f\n",$a,$b;

result:
-----------------------------------------
I:\PerlProjects\numbertrap>perl -w ntrap.pl
unknown import: :constant upgrade Math::BigFloat
lib Calc at D:/Perl/lib/Math/BigInt.pm line 49.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ntrap.pl line
2.

version:
-----------------------------------------
I:\PerlProjects\numbertrap>perl -v

This is perl, v5.6.1 built for
MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
(with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more
detail)
