Sandeep - glad we could be of help. as I mentioned, i had found myself in a situation that was similar and was using a different language, but has the ability to use Perl for reg exp and i chose to use that. if Bill's starts breaking down, think about what i said, about using a format where you find an open for a tag, then jump to a close. that is how i made my parse commands. i found that combined with non-greedy markers to be very helpful.
