Hi Richard

Cant help you with the debugging . But if you are using ActivePerl 5.6.1 there is a definite memory leak ,on the WIN32 version at least ,in how it appears to handle nested hashes.

SOAP::Lite falls victim to it fairly quickly as it uses them extensively.

I have an outstanding bug report (38095). Thats been verified but not been looked at , probably never will . But so far it hasnt been flagged WONTFIX .

The bug is not present (for me) in a vanilla Perl 5.6.x or ActivePerl 5.8.3.

Changing to the later may help you .. if you are still suffering from this . Drastic but a possible solution.

Thanks, Graham. I'd figured out that I couldn't reproduce the memory leak on my workstation and it is running 5.8.7. The web server was still on 5.6.0. An upgrade cured my woes.

Cheers,
Richard
