Dose anybody know how to manipulate pictures (.jpg
.gif ect) in or though perl?
Most specifically I want to be able to resize an
image.
maybe be able to covert between image formats or
merge images, would be nice.
So maybe there's a sub routine in the pm library or
an external program that you can call (even if you can't pip to it but you can
tell it a file you want to manipulate and its destination would work for me
too.) what ever is available.
If you find it help full:
I'm developing on window 98 but
ultimately it will be running on a cobalt server
running red hat. and that's where its most important.
There has to be a way to accomplice this because
hit counter (like the one used on ebay) merges there graphic numbers together
and sends them to the page as one image. (Note: <img
src="">ect. you get the point)
also I have played with a set of tools in perl
called TR that create a graphical user interface combing text, colors, images
ect. all on an interactive averment. Quite impressive, but since a cobalt server
have no GUI interface, they didn't include TR libraries on it. It was a nice try
for me but no cigar.
Let me know if anyone can help.
Sincerely,
Stefan.
