If you don't need to put the data into an existing spreadsheet, and you don't need to do an special excel tricks, I find the easiest way is to just create an HTML table in a file, and give it a ".XLS" extension. Excel reads it and converts automatically. No modules need.

You can also use Win32::OLE::Const 'Microsoft Excel'; and create/update MS-Excel files.

Subject: creating an excel file

hi,

I would like to import some data from mysql and write into an excel file. Do you mind if you can tell me which module I can use to do that?

I read in the cpan.org, but I am not sure which one I should use.

There are Spreadsheet::WriteExcel , Spreadsheet::SimpleExcel and others.

I am looking forward to a favorable reply from you. Thank you.

Regards,

Eko.
