Hi all, Anyone have any experience with the Crypt::Lite package from CPAN?
I just need a simple Pure Perl solution that I can integrate with the XML::Simple package to encrypt/decrypt userids and passwords in an XML file. Since the application is buried deep within our company's enterprise, there is little risk of an outside hack so I don't need a complicated encryption algorithm, just something other than plain/clear text which is what I have now in the XML file. That said, my needs for a solution wee the following characteristics: - Pure Perl, no C/C++ code and little or no dependencies. - Portability, needs to migrate well between Windows (ActivePerl), Cygwin (On windows) and Unix/Linux. - Simple to use and understand...i.e. no cipher blocking and/or chunking of data blocks to get it to work. After a couple of hours of reading the Crypt:: packages in CPAN, I came across the Crypt::Lite package and it seems to fit my needs above, but having never used it I wanted to ask everyone what (if any) issues might exist with it. thx, Adym Lincoln I/S Corporate - I/S Internal Applications 603-245-3744 Ext : 53744 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ...
