Hello,
Sometimes broswers get confused between extensions
and content-type answers from scripts (Internet Explorer over all). I saw the
same problem ONLY in one computer, when accessing a certain script with a plx
extension AND text/plain content-tpye.
Try to see if this problem occurs only on one
computer or it happens in every computer you can try.
Also, if you could attach a copy of those scripts,
along with how you have configured you web server (Apache i guess?), would be
great.
Regards,
Paco.

Subject: Submit button downloads
script
Group:
This may not be a perl issue, but I'm not sure
what kind of issue it is. I've got two perl scripts in the same directory,
invoked from "submit" buttons on two different HTML pages. When I click
one submit button, one of the perl scripts runs, but when I click the
other submit button the browser asks whether I want to run the script or
download it. I have never seen anything like this before. I can' see
anything that may be a significant difference between either web pages or
either script. The permissions for both scripts are the same,
755.
Can anyone suggest where I can even start troubleshooting? Or
point me to the right list for my question? (Come to think of it, if I
knew what list to go to, my problem would be solved!?) I'm on a Debian
Linux server, running Apache, and perl 6-something. I can get the exact
versions if that would make a difference.
Thanks in
advance.
