pythoncom.CreateGuid() question: string from a PyIID?

Hello,

I'd like to get a PyIID (returned from a previous call to
pythoncom.CreateGuid()) into string form so that I can write it to a file. I
can print the PyIID but I can't figure out how to get the dang thing into a
string. I feel sort of silly, like I'm missing something really basic :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
