Hi !
Does ActivePython replace system files ? When I try to install it, I get a dialog box saying: Some file that need to be updated are currently in use. and the text goes on to complain that my browser (Opera) uses some file (the installation program doesn't tell which file). I just restarted my NT4 box, and the only application I've started besides the installation program is Opera. Does anybody know what the ActivePython installation is trying to do ? I'm usually very suspicious about programs that update system files without telling what they are doing. For MicroSoft programs I've reluctantly learned to accept this behaviour, but other programs usually don't do like that .... I've used an earlier version of ActivePython before, and don't remember this kind of behaviour when I installed that version. /Johan Holmberg _______________________________________________ ActivePython mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/activepython
