Did you try PythonWorks?
It's a very complete project environment, with the option to deploy your
program

I don't remember where you can find it, but I found the new of the last
release
on Dayly Python.

I've been using PythonWin as my main editor for 4 years now
and I love it - drop down completion of fields and variables,
tools to sort out whitespace, object tree browser. I am as comfortable
with it as I am with VB or Delphi IDEs. I refuse to believe
Fortran or anything else had a UI like that back in the 70s :-)

What exactly do you miss in Pythonwin that you would ou like to see in
an IDE? If so I can point you to the right candidates.
