There are lots of packages available as pre-built binaries for Python 2.4.x on Tiger available here: http://pythonmac.org/packages/ I'm pretty sure there is one for wxPython, although I'm not sure if they have a universal version available. The one intended for Python 2.4.x should do what you want.
