I dont think im following you here (or understand possibly) I have a polymorphic fk relationship so I have to write has_many :whatevers, :as => 'owner' which implies that whatever has owner_id and owner_type columns
I suppose your saying in my 'whatever' model that I could have belongs_to :owner, :polymorphic => true has_many :things, :through => :owner and then perhaps AS would eager load :things for me or I could write config.columns[:things].includes = [:some_association_in_thing, ... ] yah i think ill try that, thanks On Sep 6, 5:19 am, "Bill Screen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Have you looked at using Through Associations (:through =>) ? > > http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/ThroughAssociations --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ActiveScaffold : Ruby on Rails plugin" group.
