Hi guys, I am running rails 2.1.1 and the latest stable
ActiveScaffold, and everything
seems to work except the authentication for nested scaffold is ...
quirky.
I'm am using standard authentication in ApplicationController with
Kerberos:
before_filter :authenticate
def authenticate
authenticate_or_request_with_http_basic do |username,password|
kerby_auth = Kerberos::Krb5.new
authenticated = kerby_auth.get_init_creds_password(username
+REALM, password)
session[:username]=username
authenticated
end
end
So far this works great. I can access all my controllers which are
subclasses of ApplicationController
directly. However, if they are accessed *for the first time* from a
nested scaffold, I get the following
"HTTP BASIC: Access denied".
However, if I visit the actual controller directly, there is no
problem, authentication and authorization
work properly. Then if I visit the nested scaffold again, everything
works fine.
Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? Is there a known
workaround? ActiveScaffold is great but I am really stumped on this
one...
Thanks in advance for any help!
Rohit
