Thanks for the right direction on this problem

I read the information in the API on associated_limit in API: Column.
However, it was a little too cryptic for me. Can you give me a more
concrete example of how I would write the column override using
associated_limit:

Here is the controller code I am currently using:

# projects_controller.rb
class ProjectsController < ApplicationController
  # GET /projects
  # GET /projects.xml
        active_scaffold :project do |config|
        config.columns = [:project_name, :programmers]
            list.columns.exclude :assignments
        end
end

#programmers_controller.rb
class ProgrammersController < ApplicationController
  # GET /programmers
  # GET /programmers.xml
        active_scaffold :programmer do |config|
                config.columns = [:first_name, :last_name, :projects]
                list.columns.exclude :assignments
        end
end

How can I help with documentation of the API?
 It would be great to have concrete examples of each part of the
active_scaffold API
