"One way is to hard code in vendor/plugins/active_scaffold/frontends/ default/views/_list_header.rhtml and redirect it. Any other dynamic ways?" this is bad bad bad. You don't want to directly over ride anything in the active scaffold directory. instead inside of your views directory create a folder named active_scaffold_overrides and inside of that folder copy the files that you wish to over ride, in this case you would copy over _list_header.rhtml and make your changes to the file in the overrides directory
You don't have to only render the active scaffold content on a page. I'm assuming your layout page looks something like this, <html> <head> <%= javascript_include_tag :defaults %> <%= active_scaffold_includes %> </head> <body> ---- make a select drop down here that redirects to the model that you select ------- <%= @content_for_layout %> </body> </html> A good example of how to do this is in the active scaffold demo application code base, http://github.com/yairgo/active_scaffold_demo/tree/master/ I do not think there is a way to limit the users CRUD ability on per record but you can change what a user is allowed to do on the entire list by following this http://wiki.github.com/activescaffold/active_scaffold/per-request-configuration --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ActiveScaffold : Ruby on Rails plugin" group.
