It's not the same problem you report. Actually, I'm trying to use active_scaffold_sortable_subform instead of active_scaffold_sortable because in git appears a branch for Rails 2.3. I also patch AS as the author post in this list to generate form_helpers. But unfortunately it has the same problem, no drag able button appears.
I wrote the author of active_scaffold_sortable_subform asking any advice. I'll try to figure out what problem is and post it here.
