Persistent is only used when form is sent using AJAX, form is closed and open
again. I think it's the right behaviour. If you enable always_show_create,
form is shown at top at list when you load the list.

Persistent should redirect to new when form is sent without using AJAX, for
example when you open in a new tab, or when you set link.page = true, but is
not implemented, as you can see:

        if successful?
          flash[:info] = as_(:created_model, :model => @record.to_label)
          if active_scaffold_config.create.edit_after_create
            redirect_to params_for(:action => "edit", :id => @record.id)
          else
            return_to_main
          end

return_to_main should be if active_scaffold_config.create.persistent in order
to
redirect to new or main.

I will fix it, but I have no time this week, sorry.
