This is a very specific issue that I encountered while using AS that I managed to resolve, but it took me quite some time, so I am posting this; maybe it will help someone:
I run an application on Heroku. In rails, I created another environment called "staging" which is mostly identical to "production" and runs on a separate Heroku app. On Heroku, the filesystem is read- only, for technical reasons. I was unable to deploy the staging machine because AS tries to copy its assets and fails, until I changed the line in activescaffold/init.rb raise $! unless Rails.env == 'production' to look like this raise $! unless Rails.env == 'production' || Rails.env == 'staging' -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ActiveScaffold : Ruby on Rails plugin" group.
