So the main question is: how does AS determine if a subform entry has been filled or not? I think that it ignores select and checkboxes and requires a text field to be filled, am I right? If so, I think it is not valid for all the cases (as in my case). Perhaps there could be in each subform a checkbox "ignore [X]" (filled by default), and it's emptied (so subform's entry enabled) manually or automatically when any field of the subform entry is modified (like a select or checkbox). Then the user can determine whenever create or ignore such subform entry. This is similar as when creating multiple row entries in PhpMyAdmin (there is a checkbox "ignore" in each entry, with exactly the behavior described above).
