Sorry, if this is a repeat. I searched here, but nothing has got me going.
It seems that AS is the perfect solution for my Rails app. It's basically a data entry app. But I can't get AS to work for the get- go.... I started over. Fresh rails app, install active scaffold and render; do a script/generate, and then add the stuff from 'getting started' on the github wiki. I then deleted the default views (index, show...) and all I get is this error: undefined method `active_scaffold' for PatientsController:Class My controller is: class PatientsController < ApplicationController layout "patient" active_scaffold :patient end and i have in the header of my layout: <%= javascript_include_tag :defaults %> <%= active_scaffold_includes %> Is there something I am missing (probably due to working on this in the middle of the night)?
