Thanks for the suggestion Sergio. My encoding appears to be set
correctly.
To get the explicit type casting to work with psql (PostgreSQL) 8.4.2:
I just added '::TEXT' for the finder.rb helper. of ActiveScaffold
In,
vendor/plugins/active_scaffold/lib/finder.rb
line 14:
where_clauses << "LOWER(#{column.search_sql}::TEXT) LIKE ?"
and ..
line37:
["LOWER(#{column.search_sql}::TEXT) LIKE ?", like_pattern.sub('?',
value.downcase)]
