Josh,

Can you please let me know where you read that? I've been looking for
this info.

The only info I found about periods were that it signifies "end of
message" when <lf>.<lf> is in the message - not just a period on the
beginning of the line.

Cheers,
Paul.

A line starting with a period is the signal for "end of message" to an
smtp server. AFAIK the official protocol doesn't offer a way to send a
line beginning with a period, so many products just drop the period.

And can you tell me doctor why I still can't get to sleep?
And why the channel 7 chopper chills me to my feet?
And what's this rash that comes and goes, can you tell me what it means?
God help me, I was only 19
