Thanks Tore and Andrew for the replies. My .MDF file had become corrupt, which is why I couldnt attach it using sp_attach_db. Instead I have used some software called MSSQL Recovery 1.1 (http://www.officerecovery.com/) which takes an MDF and creates SQL scripts out of it, which I have run on my database and luckily got all my data back!
Cheers Sam (i'll make sure I schedule a backup this time!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Haslett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "ActiveServerPages" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 6:06 AM Subject: RE: (Suspect) SQL server database > Hi Sam, > > Actually did the MS SQL Admin course this week and tested this out by > renaming the data files, however I doubt you actually did this!
