Interacting with a client database

ASP gurus,
Is there a way to interact (add, delete, update rows) with a database that resides on a clients computer through asp.
The example that follows probably describes it better:
Company A wants to have its clients all over the nation to be able to hit its asp pages and update the database that resides at company A. At the same time the clients have a databse on their computer/network that needs to be updated with the same information. Is this possible?
Any suggestions will be most helpful.
