Another scenario is using a connection and command object only,
and using a sproc that returns a count(*) value.
cmd.CommandText = "sp_CheckRecords:
..
select count(*) from Table where RecID = @Record_Id
..
cmd.Parameter("@record_id").value = 5
cmd.Execute, ,adExecuteNoRecords
blnRecordExists = (cmd.Parameter("@RecordCount").value > 0)
or similar?
