Melanie,

In response to your ACUPA query, here is what our information security officer
responded with:

We have a checklist for externally hosted IT services, but it doesn't get into
content or look and feel:

Subject: [acupa-l] Policies for Externally Hosted Websites

Happy Friday!

Does anyone have a policy or published guidelines for faculty or staff who
maintain their own web sites and are hosted externally, using their own
resources? What about when they make reference to their affiliation with your
institution?

We are an academic medical center and in our research have found that at least
one institution does not allow employees to host web pages externally, others
require a disclaimer stating their institution does not sponsor the content,
and many others do not address it all.

We are just wondering what our ACUPA institutions are doing?

Thanks for any information you have!

Best,
Melanie
