Hello all,
I do not have a policy of Social media to share with you, but thought this
story this morning on Insidehighered.com might be useful/of interest:

Hope this helps

UVU does not have a social media policy but a guideline:

http://www.uvu.edu/social/guidelines/protocol.html

It essentially says that those with personal websites must not give the
impression or state they are representing the University. The guideline also
discusses use of university logos and images on such sites.

Happy Friday!

Does anyone have a policy or published guidelines for faculty or staff who
maintain their own web sites and are hosted externally, using their own
resources? What about when they make reference to their affiliation with your
institution?

We are an academic medical center and in our research have found that at least
one institution does not allow employees to host web pages externally, others
require a disclaimer stating their institution does not sponsor the content,
and many others do not address it all.

We are just wondering what our ACUPA institutions are doing?

Thanks for any information you have!

Best,
Melanie

Greetings from UTMB Health, Galveston. At this time no, but we are working on
guidelines from our Marketing and Communication Department. We do have a
policy re: social media which can be found at:
