Subject: [acupa-l] Policy on Contagious Diseases

Hi All,

Does anyone have a policy re the responsibilities of faculty members and
supervisors if a student or staff member is contagiously ill in class or at the
workplace. We had an incident of a potentially contagious student wanting to
attend class and not absenting his/her self. As a result, departments are
inquiring about rights/responsibilities in handling contagious students/staff
members vis-à-vis human rights and individual responsibilities.

Any guidance appreciated. Thanks, Nancy
