Hello fellow ACUPA members.

I'm writing to just give you a little heads-up about a program we do at
Cornell. It's coming up very soon (September 11-12), and I thought you might
like to know about it-as a complement to the ACUPA conference in Orlando-or as
a valuable seminar in its own right.

It's Cornell's Policy Development Program, and it's a concentrated day and a
half of collaboration, support, and learning, mostly for institutions at the
beginning stages of centralized policy. Over the thirteen years we've been
doing this program, we have had attendees from all over the world. Many of
them have found Cornell's fall program to be extremely valuable for their
institutions. In fact, many of the most active members of ACUPA today were
attendees at the Cornell seminar when their policy initiatives were just
beginning, or when they were facing challenges.

This year, I am excited to repeat a "write your own policy statement" workshop
on the afternoon of the first day. In addition, our Director of IT Security
will be speaking to us about some of the most "front and center" IT policy
issues at institutions of higher learning.

I know it's a bit last-minute, but we'd love to have a few more attendees.
It's a very affordable program, and has been useful to a large number of
colleges, universities, and other entities. More information can be found at

Kind regards,
Josh Adams, Cornell University
