Hi Nicole,

I posed your query to a staff person who processes I-9's and an excerpt from
her response (with embedded links for you to launch) is:

"GIS (General Information Services) system, is the system we use to complete
the I-9. It also has a criminal background check functionality too although
this requires different login credentials. Here are the procedures specific to
IU http://hr.iu.edu/eev/procedures.html. Feel free to take a look at the link
for more information. There is training material at this link
http://hr.iu.edu/eev/training-i9.html.

I am satisfied with the system. It stores all I-9's that IU has completed or
need to complete. The system seems intuitive and easy to navigate. Although,
uploading documents such as passports are a bit counter intuitive in my
opinion. You have to back out of the screen used to enter the employer part of
the I-9 and navigate back to the main screen. From there you enter the
employee's I-9 information through a different area so you can upload the
passport file. "

Hope that helps.

Best,

Does anyone use an electronic I-9 process? If yes, who/what do you use and are
you satisfied with it?

Best,
Nicole
