Thank you, Cara, for asking about the theme of the next ACUPA Conference! To you and all ACUPA members, please read on...
[https://acupa.site-ym.com/graphics/logo.png]<https://acupa.site-ym.com/> Celebrating the Diverse Nature of Policy Work Diversity, as used in our theme, is intended to capture all aspects of our work, and the work of others that is critical to our success as policy administrators. In our daily work, we touch many facets of our institution's business. Certainly, policy management is central to our work - supporting the process by which policies are created and revised, maintaining the policy libraries at our respective institutions. Additionally, our work frequently gets us involved in soliciting and utilizing help from areas at our institutions outside of policy: counsel, human resources, compliance, risk management, and audit, to name just a few. Our skills and interactions go far beyond just "policy management," and often include collaboration, communication, consensus building, and compromise with individuals from myriad fields. Our theme is meant to be one that is inclusive of numerous presentation topics. We're seeking proposals not only from policy administrators and ACUPA members, with a focus on specific and trending policy topics and how we operate effectively within our organization, but also from other experts in diverse areas and disciplines, with skills that intersect and can be applied to smart and effective policy development, management, and administration, from conception to retirement. The diversity of our day-to-day policy world includes all of this. Please consider submitting a proposal to present at the ACUPA Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota May 5-7, 2016. Use the attached Presentation Proposal Submission Form to provide us with your presentation topic and concept details. Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2015. Thank you! >From the ACUPA Events Planning Committee
