Dear Fellow ACUPA Members,
I write to you today with both an INTRODUCTION and a CHALLENGE! I am very pleased to introduce, on behalf of the Board of Directors, *ACUPA’s new website*. The Board has been working with the vendor to provide a robust site that will enable all of us to interact through member forums and have access to resources such as the membership handbook, the Board’s Bylaws, presentations from past conferences, and archived e-list discussions. The site also provides the ability to manage our new membership registrations, annual membership renewals and registrations for future conferences. The URL for our new site is https://acupa.org. We have registered each of you on the site using the email address you provided when you first joined and the generic password “password678”. When you first log in, please change your password and review your member profile to add additional information or make any corrections as appropriate. To change your password once you've signed in: 1. Select "Manage Profile" from the right navigation bar. 2. Select "Edit Bio" which is under the section labeled *Information and Settings*. 3. Under "Account Information", click on "Password Change". 4. When the password screen appears, use your generic password for the old password, and then enter your new password in the two boxes. Click submit. We encourage you to explore the site, personalize your information, and send us your feedback. We will continue to develop the functionality of the site as our needs arise, and we hope that you will find it informative and user-friendly. Look for a separate email from Joshua Adams, later this afternoon, who will cover the forums feature on the new site and current e-list that we all use. *The Challenge* Now, for our challenge…..in an effort to grow our organization by 50 members during *ACUPA’s First Anniversary Membership Drive*, we are challenging you to recommend at least one policy colleague for membership by forwarding the individual’s name, email address, phone number and organization to [email protected]. These colleagues may include individuals from your own institution, sister institutions in your state/region, community colleges, medical schools, etc. We will follow up by extending an invitation to these prospective new members during our membership renewal period (which begins November 1 and runs through December 31) to join for 2016 and receive the remainder of the 2015 calendar year as a bonus. We also invite you to renew your annual membership, at the same rate as last year, between November 1 and December 31. These are exciting times for our organization and we are looking forward to welcoming new members and using this new site for members to exchange ideas and share information in the upcoming year. Thank you and I hope you're having an amazing week!
