Good afternoon, ACUPA members,

As vice-chair for administration, I am responsible to manage the ACUPA bylaws.

As you know, the bylaws that are in place now
(https://c.ymcdn.com/sites/acupa.site-ym.com/resource/resmgr/Docs/acupa-bylaws-102014.pdf)
were written when the organization was brand new. Since that time, the Board
and other members have suggested some possible changes for clarity and
accuracy. The board has spent many hours working through all of the
suggestions, and I have put together a document that itemizes them. Most of
these proposed changes are minor, and none of them affect the basic structure,
goals, or mission of ACUPA, nor the broad roles of the ACUPA Board members.

The document containing all of the proposed changes is both attached and
available on the ACUPA website, at
http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/acupa.site-ym.com/resource/resmgr/Docs/Bylaws_Edits_2016.pdf,
or through the HOME dropdown menu. Through this dropdown menu, you may also
submit questions, comments, or suggestions, as well as vote on acceptance of
these changes. The vote will stay open until May 20.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the conference next week. For those of
you who are not attending the annual business meeting in Minneapolis (8:30am
Central Time, Friday, May 6), there will be a means for you to participate
remotely; details will be sent through the ACUPA e-list when they are available.

Kind regards,
Josh
