Hello Melinda,

The University of New Mexico policy, UAP 2205 ("Minors on Campus"), is located
here: http://policy.unm.edu/university-policies/2000/2205.html. There are
ongoing discussions about additional guidance on "Minors in Hazardous Areas"
here at UNM, but at this point we are not sure if these will become a policy
(separate or as an attachment to the above-mentioned) or guidelines, possibly
hosted by another office (such as Safety and Risk Services).

Best,
Bonnie Leigh

Colleagues - could you provide me information about any policies or procedures
you might have that address the presence of minors (non-students under age 18)
in areas that use hazardous materials, biohazardous or infectious materials, or
any radioactive substances, or where physical hazards exist? Areas might
include laboratories, greenhouses, animal facilities, animal procedure rooms,
and animal housing areas for example.

Thank you.
