Good afternoon, members of ACUPA, As vice-chair for administration, I am responsible to manage the ACUPA bylaws.
At the end of April, just before the annual conference in Minneapolis, you received an email from me containing a summary of suggested rewrites to the bylaws, which I posted to the website; I also asked you to vote on them. At the business meeting in Minneapolis we discussed these suggested changes. The original intent was to have the bylaws approval vote completed shortly after the conference. We realized, however, that any voting before a discussion with the general membership, and before the edits were finalized, would be premature. Therefore, you will see I have now reposted the final redlined edits to the bylaws, as well as the same document in a clean format, on the ACUPA site for your review. I am asking you today to go again to the ACUPA website again, take a look at the bylaws edits, and vote on the final bylaws. The vote, which will take you a very short time, will be open until the end of the day, Friday, June 17. To see the red-lined bylaws with proposed changes, go to the ACUPA home page and sign in. Roll your cursor over the HOME tab, then down to ACUPA BYLAWS, then to the right, and click on 2016 BYLAWS REVISIONS, RED-LINED.
