All,

I am working through student payments as part of my risk assessment here at the
University of Pittsburgh. Does anyone have a policy or guidance for departments
that describes the types of payments a student can receive and how they are
processed?

An example is a Teaching Assistant who can:

1) Receive remission of their tuition and fees

2) Receive a stipend for living expenses

3) Receive payment for work done (for University or through work study)

4) Receive a payment for being a member of a student government group

5) Receive payment for travel

Some of the above are paid in accounts payable, some in the student accounts
system, and some through payroll.

If you have anything that you feel could help I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
