All, I am working through student payments as part of my risk assessment here at the University of Pittsburgh. Does anyone have a policy or guidance for departments that describes the types of payments a student can receive and how they are processed?
An example is a Teaching Assistant who can: 1) Receive remission of their tuition and fees 2) Receive a stipend for living expenses 3) Receive payment for work done (for University or through work study) 4) Receive a payment for being a member of a student government group 5) Receive payment for travel Some of the above are paid in accounts payable, some in the student accounts system, and some through payroll.
