Hello Stacy, Here is the University of Washington’s link to our Veteran’s Education Benefits<https://osfa.washington.edu/wp/veterans/> web page.
In addition, the State of Washington recently enacted a law that puts veterans into the first priority for registration of classes at state institutions (we have three registration priority levels at this University). While this was a state-mandated law for our institution, it might also be considered a best practice for any university or college policy. I’ve recently been tasked with looking for the best practices of University policy in relation to military affiliated students. I know that’s a broad net to cast, it’s a multi-faceted topic. I’m most interested in the areas of policies around military/veterans affairs on campus, communication and support of the military community, and change management within the university organization to help this student population. And anything else you think is related and interesting. ☺ This is my first request for assistance from the ACUPA community and I’m so thankful I found you and joined in September. I can’t wait to meet you at the conference next year! Stacy Nykorchuk Program Manager Apollo Education Group, Inc. | Apollo Ethics and Compliance Department 4025 S.
