In higher education, policy, compliance, and accreditation are frequently
linked. The regional accreditation process calls institutions to report on
elements of accreditation-relevant federal legislation, legislation which often
impacts policy practices.
Addressing regional accreditation standards and requirements for affiliation
also call institutions to report on various aspects of their policies and
procedures, both academic and administrative. Inventorying these policies and
their status is a big job.
