Subject: [acupa-l] Job Opening at the UW

Hello ACUPA colleagues,

After 37+ years at the University of Washington, I'm beginning to wrap up my
time as Director of Rules Coordination. Consequently, my job opening has been
posted on the ACUPA Career
Center<http://acupa.site-ym.com/networking/opening_search.asp>, and I encourage
anyone interested in living in Seattle to consider this job. It has some
unique aspects that provide authority and autonomy that I've not seen in other
policy administrator roles (although, one can ignore some of HR's rhetoric in
the job posting, such as "...complete and advanced historical knowledge of
University policies..." because that doesn't exist outside my office files).

Because of the dual nature of my job-both as a policy administrator and an
agency rules coordinator-I've worked out a plan, agreeable to my management,
for an overlap of a couple of months with my successor for training and project
hand-off. Ideally, my successor will begin employment in May and I will
continue, in a part-time capacity, through the months of May and June, retiring
in early July 2017.

Please contact me if you have questions or know of someone who might be
interested outside the ACUPA membership.

Thank you all.

Rebecca
