Michele: UND has a number of trees planted in honor of individuals, groups and graduating classes. Although discussed, we’ve never formally put the process into our naming policy. We need to. Thanks for asking the question!

There's someone who passed away on one of our campuses and that person's colleagues wish to plant a tree in their honor and put up a name plate. The other alternative was to have a bench with a name plate on it. Do you have anything specific that would cover this?
