Tinu,

At Purdue, we don’t have a specific policy on this subject. Rather, it is
implied by our policy on Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action
(III.C.2)<http://www.purdue.edu/policies/ethics/iiic2.html>, which prohibits
discrimination on several bases, including religion. As to specific guidance on
the issue, our student regulation on
Classes<http://www.purdue.edu/studentregulations/regulations_procedures/classes.html>
outlines the expectations for faculty and students in section 1, and our Vice
President for Ethics and Compliance sends out a memo at the beginning of each
academic
year<http://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/purduetoday/releases/2016/Q3/religious,-ethnic,-and-civic-observances.html>
as a reminder for all faculty, staff, and students.

Subject: [acupa-l] Religious Accommodation Policy

Hi folks,

I'm doing some research for one of our units on Religious Accommodations Policy
and am interested in similar policies from other institutions. This policy
would cover students, faculty and staff and could address everything from
attendance/excused absence, use of facilities, dietary, etc.

Would you mind sharing any policy/policies your school has on this topic?

Thanks,

Tinu
