Todd, Ohio State's Activities and Programs with Minor Participants policy<https://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy150.pdf> exempts those who are accepted or enrolled, but does not specifically address "prospective" students.
C. This policy does not apply to: 1. Undergraduate and graduate academic programs in which individuals under the age of 18 are enrolled for academic credit or who have been accepted for enrollment. 2. Events on campus open to the general public, which minors attend. 3. Medical care given in an in-patient or out-patient setting pertaining to minors in the Wexner Medical Center or other university patient-care setting. 4. Institutional review board (IRB)-approved research. 5. Student organizations operating, facilitating, or sponsoring activities and programs with minors. 6. Minors working for the university as employees. 7. Activities and programs with minors operated, conducted, or organized by non-university entities which take place on campus or in university facilities, including but not limited to facility rentals to third party organizations. 8. Activities and programs with minors granted a specific exemption from part or all of the policy in advance of the event taking place, after a written application has been reviewed and approved by the Minors Policy Governance Committee. If so, what rules/restrictions/flexibilities/exemptions are granted regarding on campus programs that involve prospective students? We'd love to know if any of your policies directly call out "prospective students" as a population, and what ages fall under that umbrella. Thanks so much! -Todd _____________________________________________________ Todd D.
