Utah Valley University has two policies that address children in the classroom:

Policy 115 Minors on
Campus,<https://policy.uvu.edu/getDisplayFile/5750c60397e4c89872d95632> section
5.11 Enrolled Students Bringing Minors to the Classroom, discusses enrolled
students bringing their children to class. Essentially, children are not
permitted in the classroom, but instructors may grant permission in extenuating
circumstances.

Policy 252 International Travel for Students, Faculty, and
Staff<https://policy.uvu.edu/getDisplayFile/57bf8f944f5e24384365c47d>, section
4.4 Accompany Adults and Minors, discusses how to handle children who program
directors may wish to bring with them on study abroad trips.

I hope you find this useful.

Hi Leslie,

Here is a link to ODU's current "Guidelines for Children in the Workplace"
policy.

We are currently in the review phase for a new policy "Minors on Campus" that
will incorporate the above policy. Here is the link to the draft of that
policy:

Subject: [acupa-l] Policy on Faculty/Staff Bringing Children to Work

Hi-

Would anyone be willing to share a policy for faculty/staff bringing children
to work? We have a policy about minors on campus (which basically states they
must be supervised), but that doesn't really address employees having their
kids at work. We have had a few issues with employees having their kids come
to their office a few days a week for a few hours instead of getting a
babysitter.

Thanks!
