Hi all

I am receiving the following error in System Center Operations Manager for
one of my DCs, and can't seem to find any resources offering any resolution
to it. I have tried restarting DNS and the DC itself as suggested in the
alert text.

*DNS 2003 Troubleshoot AD DS and restart the DNS Server Service
*

*You can configure the DNS Server service to use Active Directory Domain
Services (AD DS) to store zone data. This makes it possible for the DNS
server to rely on directory replication, which enhances security,
reliability, and ease of administration. *
*AD DS is not responding (Cause)Troubleshoot AD DS and restart the DNS
Server service (Resolution) *

*The DNS Server service relies on Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
to store and retrieve information for AD DS-integrated zones. This error
indicates that AD DS is not responding to requests from the DNS Server
service. Ensure that AD DS is functioning properly, troubleshoot any
Problem, and then restart the DNS Server service. *

I can't seem to find any help from Google and was just wondering on the
off-chance if anyone has come across a similar issue, it is really annoying
me having a single server showing as Critical in SCOM.

TIA,

JRR
