There is a tool prtmig? (sp) that may or may not work been 2003 and
2008.

It makes a cab with the entire print environment on the "from" and then
on the "to'" creates all of the queues and installs the dirvers

Subject: Print Server Migration

Hi,

I am not sure if there is an *easy* way to do this or not but I figured
it was worth asking.

I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 system that is our print server. I want
to decommission the box as it is older and set it all up on a new
Win2008 server machine. Is there an easier way to move all the
installed, shared printers than documenting all the information and
manually installing them on the new machine, sharing them, and then
telling everyone (300+ clients) to delete their installed printers and
connect to the new shares?

Thanks!
