I may be wrong, but this sounds like an inherited permission issue. Any
changes to root or folder above at ntfs or share acl's?

Subject: DFS Issue

Hello All,

We have a domain DFS setup across globe. The domain root will be used across
globe as our infrastructure is located globally. Recently, we had an issue
with DFS. Users in a *particular site* were not able to access the DFS root.
Users from *other sites could able to access* the DFS root without any
problems.

Event Log would be 14530.
*"DFS could not access its private data from the Active Directory. Please
manually check network connectivity security access and/or consistency of
DFS information in the Active Directory. This error occurred on root "*

I have restarted the DFS servivce on the *same site DC* then users could
able to access the root. I would like your help to know, what caused the
issue and how we can trouble shoot the issue so that it may not repeat in
future.

Many thanks..Appreciate your quick help on this.

Naresh
