Requirement Details : ROLE : Senior Performance Engineer with strong silk exp Location : MD Duration : 1 Year The opening is for a Senior Performance Engineer with strong recent experience with high availability, high volume systems. In this role you will work closely with software development, quality assurance, project management, system administration and operations support staff to perform systems requirements analysis, hardware and software scaling, develop test plans and performance test high volume / high availability payment card processing systems. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES* processing systems. * Deliver service engagements at our customer sites. * You will work with development and technical operations to help design/modify the system to support the expected capacity, test the system hardware components to validate that design and test the system to verify that the system is highly available to customers under a variety of failure modes. For example – you will develop test plans for clustered app server performance tests and reliability tests in which the test systems will be forced to fail over to and fail back from backup and contingency systems. * You will develop performance test methodologies that will exercise the application/system with production-like behavior. You will develop test software that support those test paradigms, the tests will be run and monitored and the test results analyzed. You will communicate the test results to improve the availability of the application as well as application performance. * You will utilize the expertise gained during the performance engineering, planning and testing to assist in identification and resolution of production problems. In addition, you will analyze behavioral differences between the performance and production environments and make adjustments to close any gaps. * You will work with the Business Analysts and end users to develop user behavior models of performance tests. You will work with Architects, System Designers, Engineers, and QA Engineers, while assisting them in identifying potential performance issues and solutions. * You will develop and provide regular reports on the performance characteristics of the systems * Utilize Borland Silk Performer to test and analyze the performance of Enterprise/network applications. * Utilize Shunra VE products for comprehensive network simulation solution * Perform server capacity planning and performance analyses for UNIX and Windows based platforms. * Provide expertise on application performance utilizing products like OPNET (Panorama, ACE Live & ACE Analyst) to identify and analyze key n-tier application performance components. * Work with client business users to identify changes in the project scope, assessment of possible constraints and identification of new service opportunities. * Facilitate necessary internal /external meetings and prepare necessary status reports to ensure project tasks are being completed in a timely fashion. *Requirements* *PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS* *BS degree in an Engineering \ Computer Science discipline with 5+ years of load and performance testing experience. *A minimum of 10 years experience in developing and delivering consulting services *Extensive knowledge of Automated Test Tools (Mercury, Borland, Automated QA, etc). *Experience and understanding of tools like OPNET (Ace analytics, Ace live, Panorama, System Planner) and others to identify key components of transaction performance including transport (network), front end (web servers, proxy servers, load balancers), mid-tier (application servers), and back end systems (databases). * Working knowledge of server technology with Unix operating systems on Intel platforms *Proven success in scripting different applications (Web, Citrix, SAP,SEIBEL Oracle, .NET, etc) with Automated Test Tools and performing load testing and server utilization analysis. * Fluent in implementing Unix Shell and Perl scripts * Excellent understanding of Internet protocol suites *Working knowledge of JAVA, C/C++, SQL or scripting languages (e.g. Perl, UNIX shell). *Experience working in web, .NET, Windows OS, and various Unix environments. *Advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and MS Project. *Experience with full life cycle automated testing using various tools such as Quality Center, Silk Central, Silk Performer & load runner. *Shunra product experience is a must. *Opnet tools experience is a plus *Ability to communicate effectively, both with technical and non-technical individuals. *Superior presentation and communication skills, fluency in the English language, both written and verbal, required. * With Regards: *KUMAR* 2890 Carpenter Road, Suite# 2000 Ann Arbor, MI 48108 Ph: 734-418-3260 Fax: 734-975-9380 [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.openboxsolutions.com For Better Resources join in this Group: * http://groups.google.com/group/hot-recruiters* --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ad Typing" group.
