Hi ADA Many thanks to all of you who came to the symposium and contributed so generously and enthusiastically to all of the presentations, conversations and lunches.
The symposium was a great success, and it felt like a gathering of a really engaged community. It seemed as though lots of interesting connections were being made and projects being planned, which is the best outcome we could have hoped for. The blog has some great accounts of various sessions, and more are being prepared. If anyone would like to add a post about anything related to the symposium you should just set up a wordpress account (if you don't already have one) and email me to be set up as a contributor - or mail me some content and I can post it for you. And of course please comment on the posts that are there if you have anything to add to them: http://adasymposium09.wordpress.com/ There was some pretty active twittering going on during the weekend, which provides another (more succinct!) pathway through it: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23ADA2009 And there are a bunch of photos on Flikr using the ADAsymposium09 tag: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=ADAsymposium09 These include a set from De Balie showing their end of the remote conversation, which nicely expand the dimensions of that experience. If anyone's uploading photos to flikr please use that tag so they're findable (and not to be confused with the Australian Dental Association's 2009 conference!) I have lots more to add when my free account will let me... And thanks for your feedback from the Amsterdam end of our networked keynote Adam! It was lovely to glimpse you in there too... That connected chat was a great success for us, and while it took a lot of planning it was actually quite straightforward in the end, technically at least. I'm sure there's a lot we can do with that kind of set up across this distributed network of ours. And I'll pick up on my electrosmog festival ramblings to open up that conversation on the list too soon... Many thanks again Zita On 29/06/2009, at 11:36 PM, adam hyde wrote: > i saw most of the event from amsterdam..they were very happy with it > on > this side...eric was pretty smiley :) > > adam > > > -- > Adam Hyde > Founder FLOSS Manuals > German mobile : + 49 15 2230 54563 > Email : [email protected] > irc: irc.freenode.net #flossmanuals > > "Free manuals for free software" > http://www.flossmanuals.net/about > > > _______________________________________________ > Ada_list mailing list > [email protected] > http://aotearoadigitalarts.org.nz/ _______________________________________________ Ada_list mailing list [email protected] http://aotearoadigitalarts.org.nz/
